CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY NOMINATE UNITED STATES PHOTOGRAPHER STEVEN BUNDY AT 5TH ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERS CUP
LONDON, November 2, 2011 - Professional photographer Steven Bundy of the United States was presented with the 5th Annual Photography Masters Cup Nominee title in the category of “Americana” at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photo Show. The live online ceremony webcast Sunday, October 29, 2011 was attended by photography fans in 83 countries who logged on to see the climax of the industry's most important event for color photography.
The awards international Jury included captains of the industry ranging from Hasted Hunt Kraeutler in New York, Brancolini Grimaldi, David & Goliath, Simon Studer Art Associates, Stills Gallery to Christie's in London who honored Color Masters with 272 coveted title awards and 1099 nominees in 18 categories.
"It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 11,321 entries we received this year," said Basil O'Brien, the awards Creative Director. “Steven Bundy's "Cattle Drive" an exceptional image entered in the “Americana” category, represents contemporary color photography at its finest, and we're pleased to present him with the title of Nominee."

6/25/2011 - Announcing my partnership agreement with "Eloquent Light Photography Workshops", Santa Fe, NM
Today I am excited to announce that I have agreed to become partners with Craig Varjabedian and Cindy Lane in Eloquent Light Photography Workshops, LLC. This agreement gives the business the necessary manpower, experience and energy to begin offerings of new and exciting photographic workshops both inside and outside of New Mexico in the upcoming 2012 lineup. Besides the workshops, we are also anticipating some exciting announcements in the coming year, separate from next years 2012 workshop schedule. With this agreement, both Chris and I will be making the permenant move to Santa Fe within the next 12 months. 6/15/2011 - Albuquerque Arts Magazine 7th Annual Photo Contest
Was notified today by Albuquerque Arts Magazine, that my image "Sunset at Rancho's Church", and had won the Grand Prize for this year’s contest. This is my second year in a row winning this award. My image and all of the other winning images will be in the July 2011 Photography issue, and also available online to view.

6/14/2011 - High Noon Western Americana E-magazine "Smoke Signals"
Was notified today by High Noon that my image "Bonanza Creek Ranch Saloon" was the featured photographic image in the June issue of Smoke Signals magazine. This image was taken on the Bonanza Creek Movie Ranch, south of Santa Fe NM, last summer. Check out the online version of the magazine at: www.highnoon.com/hnssphotos.htm

03/24/2011 – 1st Annual Rodeo Weekend Western Arts Exhibition & Competition, Oakdale, CA.
I received notice that my two images "Saloon Wall Skull" and "Native Omaha - Anthony Parker" had both been chosen to be included within this year’s show. The exhibition will be held at the Bonsack Gallery from April 1, 2011 through April 28, 2011, located at 13480 Orange Blossom Road, in Oakdale, California. This is the first year the show was offered to public participants, in the 17 years of it's existance. It had previously been known as the Annual Oakdale Western Arts Show, and has always been held in conjunction with the Annual Oakdale PCRA Rodeo, now in it's 60th year.

         

03/06/2011 – Visual Arts Society of Texas, 43rd Annual National Visual Arts Exhition, Denton, TX.
I received notice that my image "Rancho's Church at Night" had been chosen to be included within this year’s "VAST 43rd Annual Arts Exhibition". The exhibition will held at the Meadows Gallery from April 28, 2011 through June 3, 2011, located at 400 E. Hickory, in Denton Texas. This year there were 168 artists that submitted 430 entries from around the country. From these entries, only 63 works were accepted into the show. Also, being that these entries consisted of all 2D and 3D media, added to my excitement of the inclusion.

02/09/2011 – Earth Through a Lens National Juried Exhibition, Palm Springs, CA.
I received notice that my image "Lonely Oak" had been chosen to be included within this year’s "Earth Through a Lens" exhibition. The April exhibition will be held in Palm Springs with digital images to be displayed in a show catalogue and concurrently running at the California Museum of Photography. This show is a national juried photographic display held annually in the Palm Springs area to commemorate Earth Day.

 

2010

11/23/2010 - Cowboy & Indian Magazine 2011 Photo Contest FINALIST
I was notified today by the Production Director for Cowboy & Indian Magazine that I was selected as a finalist for 2 image inclusions into the March 2011 edition of the magazine. The color images are: Running to Water & Native Omaha-Anthony Parker. The images are to be printed in the March 2011 issue of the magazine.

         

6/24/2010 - Albuquerque Arts Magazine 6th Annual Photo Contest
Was notified today by the editor of Albuquerque Arts magazine, that I had received 39 out of a possible 40 points in the judging of my image "Abiquiu Morada", and had won the Grand Prize for this year’s contest. Also, my other two images, Ocate Building, and Taos Tipi, where given Honorable Mentions in the contest. All images will be in the July 2010 issue, and also available online to view.

5/27/2010 - Tempo Arts & Entertainment Magazine advertisement
In conjunction with the Taos 2010 summer marketing program, "Return to Sacred Places", a full page advertisement using my image "Sombra de la Cruz" from the Enchanted Homes article will be in the "Tempo" Magazine the week of May 27-June 2, 2010.

5/7/2010 - Enchanted Homes Magazine-Sacred Sites article
Received a call today from Michelle Gutierrez from the Taos News Newspaper, that they would like to use one of my images "Sombra de la Cruz" for an article in the Enchanted Homes Magazine to be on the newsstands in June 2010. The image will be used in conjunction with an article titled "Sacred Sites- 5 Taos County Landmarks That Touch The soul". It will be a full page image. This article is running in conjunction with this summer's Taos marketing campaign, "Return to Sacred Places".

2/15/2010 - Editor's Pick-New Mexico Magazine
I was excited to find that my image "Abiquiu Morada" was chosen by the editor of New Mexico Magazine to be included within a group of 13 images titled: "EDITOR'S PICK" from the 9th Annual New Mexico Magazine Photo Contest.

1/13/2010 - Enchanted Homes Magazine-Final Foto
Today I received a call from Michelle Gutierrez from the Taos News that the paper would like to use one of my images for the "Final Foto" image in the Enchanted Homes magazine for next month. It will be published in the February/March 2010 issue. The image titled "Cold Drink's at Sugar's", is an image taken at a local drive-in in nearby Embudo, NM.

11/18/2009 - New Mexico Magazine 9th Annual Photo Contest-WINNER
I recently was notified that one of images "Taos Teepee" received and Honorable Mention in the "Landmark" category of the New Mexico Magazine 9th Annual Photography Contest. My image will be published in the January 2010 edition (Volume 88, Issue 1). Approximately 1500 images were submitted from 357 photographers from New Mexico , plus 35 other states and 3 foreign countries. I am both excited and honored to have been chosen from so many entries, and will be looking forward to seeing the magazine next month.

11/6/2009 - An Evening with the Artist
The Perfect Frame & Gallery presents: "An Evening with the Artist" on Friday evening, November 6th, 2009, from 5-8:00 pm. This will be the solo exhibition opening reception for southwest fine art photographer, Steven Bundy, that will run from October 29th, 2009 through January 2nd of 2010. On display will black & white images from his travels through the American Southwest. Approximately 30 images will be available for your viewing.

9/12/2009 - Alta Vista Gardens exhibition-Through the Lens
The Alta Vista Gardens presents "Through the Lens" an exhibition of fine art photography by Steven Bundy. The black and white images that make up this unique show capture the spirit and essence of the subject matter, the American Southwest. Steven has spent the past few years photographing Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico, and this show represents an overview of some of his best images. The show and artist's reception will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 4:00 to ?. Wine and cheese will be served. Location: the Alta Vista Gardens are located within Brengle Terrace Park on Vale Terrace Drive in Vista, CA.

February 17, 2009-2009 Kellicutt International Juried Photo Show sponsored by the Coastal Arts League of Half Moon Bay, Ca. titled: "Through a Lens-Contrasting Elements". I'm honored to have been selected as one of 91 displayed images from over 1800 entries and 23 countries, within the show. PRESS RELEASE: International Photography Awards Announces winners of the 2008 Competition. Steven Bundy of United States was awarded Honorable Mention in the 2008 International Photography Awards Competition. Los Angeles, California., 9/6/2008 --- International Photography Awards (IPA) announced the winners from over 22,000 entries of this year's IPA Photographer of the Year awards. Steven Bundy of United States was awarded: Honorable mention in Deeper Perspective in non-professional category for his entry, "Early Morning Fog”.
