CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY NOMINATE UNITED STATES PHOTOGRAPHER STEVEN BUNDY AT 5TH ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERS CUP
LONDON, November 2, 2011 - Professional photographer Steven Bundy of the United States was presented with the 5th Annual Photography Masters Cup Nominee title in the category of “Americana” at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photo Show. The live online ceremony webcast Sunday, October 29, 2011 was attended by photography fans in 83 countries who logged on to see the climax of the industry's most important event for color photography.
The awards international Jury included captains of the industry ranging from Hasted Hunt Kraeutler in New York, Brancolini Grimaldi, David & Goliath, Simon Studer Art Associates, Stills Gallery to Christie's in London who honored Color Masters with 272 coveted title awards and 1099 nominees in 18 categories.
"It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 11,321 entries we received this year," said Basil O'Brien, the awards Creative Director. “Steven Bundy's "Cattle Drive" an exceptional image entered in the “Americana” category, represents contemporary color photography at its finest, and we're pleased to present him with the title of Nominee."

2nd Annual Southern California Black & White Exhibition, at the La Jolla Art Association Gallery, La Jolla, CA. My entry,  "San Rafael  Chapel" was one of 44 pieces of artwork from over 250 enrties, accepted into the show this year. The exhibition will be running from September 20, 2011 through October 15, 2011. The artist reception and awards event is on Saturday, September 24th, from 6-8 pm. Below is the image submitted.

Both of my entries for the juried photo exhibition "Exposure"at Durango Colorado's "Open Shutter Gallery" were selected into the August 12th through September 7th show. Judges included the owners of the Open Shutter Gallery and photographer Steve McCurry. My black & white images titled "Abiquiu Morada" and "Taos Tipi", are both being included in the competition portion of the exhibition. According to the email notice, works were submitted from worldwide, from as far away as Thailand and Madagascar. Below are both of the images submitted.

43rd Annual Arts Exhibition, sponsored by the Visual Arts Society of Texas (VAST)
April 28th through June 3rd, at the Meadows Gallery at the Center for the Visual Arts, in Denton, Texas.
My image “Rancho’s Church at Night” was one of 63 accepted works from the 168 artists and the 430 national entries.
Being a show exhibiting all types of 2D and 3D art, increased my excitement of the inclusion.

1st Annual Rodeo Weekend Western Art Show at the Bonsack Gallery
April 1st through April 28th. The gallery is located at 13480 Orange Blossom Road, in Oakdale, CA
My images "Saloon Wall Skull", and "Native Omaha, Anthony Parker" were both judged into the exhibition.This is the first year the show was offered to public participants, in the 17 years of its existence. It had been previously known as the Annual Oakdale Western Art Show, and had always been held in conjunction with the Annual Oakdale PCRA Rodeo, now in its 60th year.

October 19th through November 28th, at Encinitas Library- Encinitas, California. My image "San Rafael Chapel" took First Place in the Color-Architectural category.

Altered Landscapes- An Exhibition at the L.H. Horton, Jr. Gallery, Stockton, CA
My image "Ranchos Church at Night" has been accepted into this prestigious Northern California show. Juror, Carol McCusker delighted in the night ambiance of the image, noting "I've never seen this much-photographed church at night". The show will run from November 18 through December 16, 2010.

Albuquerque Arts Magazine 6th Annual Photo Contest
Was notified today by the editor of Albuquerque Arts magazine, that I had received 39 out of a possible 40 points in the judging of my image "Abiquiu Morada", and had won the Grand Prize for this year’s contest. Also, my other two images, Ocate Building, and Taos Tipi, where given Honorable Mentions in the contest. All images will be in the July 2010 issue, and also available online to view.

I was excited to find out that my image "Abiquiu Morada" was chosen by the editor of New Mexico Magazine to be included within a group of 13 images titled: "EDITOR'S PICK" from the 9th Annual New Mexico Magazine Photo Contest.

New Mexico Magazine 9th Annual Photo Contest-WINNER
I recently was notified that one of images "Taos Teepee" received an Honorable Mention in the "Landmark" category of the New Mexico Magazine 9th Annual Photography Contest. My image will be published in the January 2010 edition (Volume 88, Issue 1). Approximately 1500 images were submitted from 357 photographers from New Mexico , plus 35 other states and 3 foreign countries. I am both excited and honored to have been chosen from so many entries, and will be looking forward to seeing the magazine next month.

An Evening with the Artist

Through the Lens" Photographic Exhibition
The Alta Vista Gardens presents "Through the Lens" an exhibition of fine art photography by Steven Bundy. The black and white images that make up this unique show capture the spirit and essence of the subject matter, the American Southwest. Steven has spent the past few years photographing Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico, and this show represents an overview of some of his best images. The show and artist's reception will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 4:00 to? Wine and cheese will be served. Location: the Alta Vista Gardens are located within Brengle Terrace Park on Vale Terrace Drive in Vista, CA.
